Messy Church

Messy Church

Sunday 26 January, 3pm

Messy Church is our family programme designed for parents/carers with families of all ages. Its a jam packed 2 hours of activities, crafts, music, videos and fun. But that’s not all, it’s totally free and we’ll even provide your tea!

Pre booking isn’t required, you can just turn up on the day. But the best bit is that Messy Church is open to everyone. Yes that’s right, everyone! Messy Church is designed around families so children are invited to bring their parents/guardians etc to join in the fun (we’ll have plenty tea and coffee on supply for the adults!).

What’s it all about?

We’ve grown a massively successful Summer Holiday Club over the last 12 years with over 120 children attending in 2019. With such growth, we’re always being asked about similar activities but we realise that time can be limited for families especially at weekends. So Messy Church is here to help!

Messy Church is specifically designed around families and provides a fun, relaxed format of activities to cater all ages. Each child should be accompanied with an adult for the duration but don’t worry, you won’t be bored! There’s a choice of activities throughout the session and we’ll have plenty tea and coffee for you too!

Dinner is included in the session with everything finished by 5pm. So that’s fun,  activities, crafts, music, stories, videos and loads more including dinner at no cost!

When is the next Messy Church?

Messy Church returns on Sunday 26 January at 3pm

As it’s the day after Burns Night, we’ll be having a special Scottish theme to celebrate. So expect shortbread, tartan and maybe even a ceildh. And don’t worry, we won’t give you haggis, neeps and tatties for dinner (unless you really want to)!

Tartan and kilts are very much encouraged!

The dates of all Messy Church sessions are announced both here and on our Facebook page.

I want to come to Messy Church! What do I do?

Pre booking isn’t required so come along on the day but please remember that each child must be accompanied by an adult for the whole session. Our entrance is via the reception on Church Road (next to the car park).

Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to complete a short registration form (this covers your child for all future Messy Church sessions – so if you completed one last time, you won’t need to again).  And that’s it! You can then join in the fun at Messy Church!
