Our informal half-hour service takes place every Thursday at 10.30am followed by fellowship and refreshments in the church hall. More information can be found here.
If you, or anyone you know, are in need of Pastoral Care then please contact Amanda.
Looking for some company? Fancy a blether with a cuppa? Or want to join in a singalong of some old favourites? Then Cafe Connect, our weekly Wednesday Morning group, might be for you!
Loneliness is an increasing issue for people as they get older so we’re delighted to be helping Deanburn Primary School in an effort to tackle this. We meet every second Wednesday for a fun morning of activities led by the children including a snack and time to chat and unwind.
Join us every Wednesday during School Term at 10.30am.
Following on from our summer Holiday Club, we’ve launched a new event – and everyone’s invited!
Our first Messy Church took place in September and was a great success with 2 jam packed hours of crafts, music, videos and fun. We’re back in late October for another session but, in the meantime, check out the pictures on our Facebook page for a taste of what we got up to.
Our next Messy Church session takes place on Sunday 28 October from 3pm to 5pm.
All are welcome to join us and pre booking isn’t required, you can just turn up on the day. But the best bit is that Messy Church is open to everyone! Yes that’s right, everyone! Messy Church is designed for families so children can bring their parents/guardians etc to join in the fun (we’ll have tea and coffee on supply for the adults)
And it gets better, we’ll even provide your tea! So that’s fun, chat and your dinner at no cost!
Men of Faith is our fellowship group open to males from any denomination across Bo’ness and the wider area. We meet on the 1st Saturday of every month at 9am to enjoy a hearty breakfast followed by praise and a short talk.
We next meet for breakfast and praise on Saturday 3 November at 9am.
We have a great bunch of regulars from various denominations, church backgrounds or neither and our invitation remains open to everyone. So if you fancy something different to start your weekend (or don’t have anything in for breakfast!) then come give us a visit.
With over 120 children attending, and ending with an incredible turnout at our annual celebration and BBQ event, TeamBuilders was our biggest and best Holiday Club yet!
We have an amazing team who make Holiday Club possible but it couldn’t be done without the incredible support of our congregation, our brilliant leader Diane, our wonderful minister Amanda and the many people who help behind the scenes. To everyone who helped us: THANK YOU!
But the biggest thanks has to go to all our 120+ TeamBuilders who blew us away with their enthusiasm and ability to go through gallons of paint during the week! A special thank you also for your items for Storehouse and for all your donations including via our TeamBuilders quiz.
But the fun doesn’t stop here! kidZone, teenZone and our Youth Group are available every week with our new Messy Church sessions taking place every couple of months.
Check out our Facebook page for all the pics and videos from TeamBuilders. Here’s just some of the highlights!
Team Teen is our summer evening programme for all young adults at Secondary School. Taking place in the evenings of Holiday Club week, these popular sessions place a focus on teamwork and friendship in a relaxed fun way.
We’ve had a great week of evening activities with most of Team Teen also helping at TeamBuilders. Thanks to everyone for your help this week!
Check out our Facebook page for all the photos from Team Teen 2018.
Do you have any old clothing that you’re looking to get rid of? Then don’t throw them in the bin, bring them to Church instead!
We now have a Rag Bag Collection point outside the church office for any textile items that you wish to recycle. Items must be bagged and can include clothing, paired shoes, bags and belts. For each kilo donated, the Old Kirk will receive 40p which will go towards church funds.
The box will be available throughout Holiday Club week so any donations are welcome!
If you’ve been out and about in Bo’ness, the chances are that you’ve seen our minibus on its travels!
As well as providing free transport to our services and events, the minibus is used by various organisations throughout the week. This, of course, wouldn’t be possible without our great team of volunteers. But we’re always on the lookout for more helpers!
If you have a driving licence (which includes a D1 licence) and some spare time now and again, why not help out? We’ll even let you choose which radio station to put on the stereo!
To find out more, please contact us or speak to Scott Nicol after Sunday worship.
