Who is Soul for?
Soul is for anyone who would like to investigate Christianity informally with others.

What goes on?
Each session begins with a light meal.  This is then followed by a video presentation and discussion time. You are not asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like.  Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.

How long does the course last?
The course runs for seven 90-minute sessions and one all-day event.

When does this course run?
Soul will run on Wednesday evenings 7.30-9pm for seven weeks commencing 9 February with a day event on Saturday 19 March

Where are courses held?
The West Room of the Old Kirk

Can I pull out if I want to?
Yes – We’d just love you to come for one evening and see how you get on.

How much does the course cost?
Nothing – but we welcome any donations towards our costs.

Do I have to bring anything?
No, all course materials are provided.

Am I going to get preached at?
Not at all.  Each afternoon includes a talk designed to explain an aspect of Christian belief and to stimulate discussion.  Hopefully you’ll find it challenging and amusing.  The group leaders will facilitate discussion and try to answer questions.  Each session includes a video presentation designed to explain an aspect of Christian belief and to stimulate discussion.

How is Soul different from other courses?
The course is based on Mark’s Gospel, with its emphasis on who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.
