At Bo’ness Old Kirk our main activity takes place on Sunday morning and evening, as we meet together to worship God. Our worship comprises both traditional hymns and modern songs, and during our services a great deal of importance is attached to the reading and preaching of God’s Word.

Because God has spoken through the Bible, its message is relevant to the 21st century, and so the preaching attempts to relate the message of the Bible directly to contemporary issues, and so equip Christians to live out their faith in their daily lives.

We recognise it is not easy to be a Christian today, and so our hope is that the services week by week will equip, enable and encourage us, as we get to know God, and our fellow-believers, more and more.

We also place an emphasis on prayer and we meet for this purpose in the vestry before each Sunday morning service and also as a house-group during the week. Further details about this can be had in church.

Being a disciple of Jesus involves more than Sunday worship and there are various groups you can take part in. We have the Guild, Heart to Heart, Men of Faith and from time to time we host Soul and Christianity Explored (for people who would like to investigate the Christian faith) and The Stranger and Discipleship Explored (for Christians who would like to deepen their faith).
